This was taken last year. Its that time of the year, where we can't travel on the river because we are isolated from traveling any where on the river. This is what we call, " A bumper."There are so many wishes we all have when its like this: wish we had an airport, wish we had a road to Bethel, wish the weather would stay cold for three full cold days, so that we can travel on the back trail on a snow machine. I can recall those moments when I worked in Bethel. I tell you, its the scariest moments ever...But having to be the only girl in my family, it was not that bad. I grew up with two boys and just me.
