Journey to see A Friend for the Last Time

This is a journey I took to go see my best friend from grade school all the way to high school. Her name was Mary Charles. She was my cheerleading and basketball component.

I can recall her as a cheerleader and how we use to compete with each other. There were more then 11 teams at times or whenever teams can make it to the wrestling tournaments. The line ups were in alphabetical order. The teams use to go in the gym in orderly way. So, we were either next to each other or across from each other. The cheerleaders use to sit along the mat. We use to cheer for our team wrestlers.

Then compete each other for first, second, and third place cheerleading. We also tried to get the sportsman ship trophy too. This was judged by how the team acted, helped, and worked with other teams as well.

Mary use to tell her cheerleading team to sit straight and always look at the judges and be loud. She was a team leader and a good one too. I have a picture of them when we went to one of the villages and it was during Febuary 14, Valentine's day. The back ground had Valentine's day on the wall and the picture was black and white. I still have that picture at home along with my team.

During our basketball tournaments. We use to play each others teams. She was a good basketball player too. She was the leader as well. She use to encourage her team to be calm, do their best, and try to win the game. One year we were competing for a championship and they won. We came in second place.

I did not know that she was my classmate. She graduated the same year I did, 1986. The obituary gave me good memories of her. The spirit comes with-in her love and the love for her surroundings, and especially the family. Reading her obituary reminds her of me. How much we both love children, helping out on our siblings, helping others , and give love for all people around them.

It is very true that she greeted any one with a hug , a smile or a comment. We will truly miss her but she will be alive in our hearts.

Having Fun at Recess

This was taken last year during our recess break with the primary students.
The primary students from the front are: Irene, Raeanne, Jeffery, Boff, Andrea, Bethany
Trevor, and way at the end is Colin. I had them standing on top of the plowed road
on the side of the snow cliff. I really enjoyed taking pictures of the students whenever
I took them out for recess. I have many more pictures that I keep because its fun to take
pictures of them. These are memorable pictures that are to keeps because we don't see that
often with our students. I hardly see pictures of the students, so I try to take them whenever
I can. I hope you enjoy my pictures as I post them for all to see. This is all for now, if you
have cameras at home, keep taking pictures because pictures surely tell stories of what
we do in life. If you get children of your own, take pictures because you get to see how much they have grown. You have to capture those moments when they are young children. So, take out your camera and take snapshots that will keep memories alive.

Moon Light

This is when I was fishing at the river one day. I wanted to see if I can get a picture of the moon and the clouds around it. Well, it looks good to me. I wish I had a very nice camera to take pictures at night, I would take pictures all the time or every time I go fishing. This reminds me of halloween night. When I saw the moon, I recalled the song the primary students sang. It goes like this: The man in the moon came down too soon and ask for his way to Norwich, He by the south and burnt his mouth with eating cold plumage porridge. The students really like this song. So, this is a nice picture that shows the moon light one day.

Troubles in the Air

We have been marriaged for 21 years. We have been together for more than that, since 1984. He has been my friend, boyfriend, and now, my husband. Through our years we had ups and downs, like we expected to happen. I have grown to love him even more and with that, we have six children. I love children so much, lol he blames me for the other four of our children. He said he only wanted two kids. He shall have those two kids, but the rest is mine...lol Lately we have been at each other throats. I have always felt that one person is trying to take us apart. The more I see him teasing her, looking at her, flirting with her, and he wanted to keep doing this to her. I told him that the more he does this to her, the more they will fall for each other, they will start having an affair because it can happen. He may say that it will not, but he doesn't know that. I had to put my foot down and told him that he has to stop. The more I see her around him and trying to be around him, being in front of him and trying to get attention from him, he is going to give in and might end up with her. I know this maybe non-since, but its real. The more I see it happen , the more I want to give up and go. Leave for good and never appear again. I thought of it so many times. But the love for him keeps me alive, our children keeps me alive, and other relatives, without their support I don't know what could have happened. I wanted to let my expressions out of my mind, my soul,  and my body because it was getting hard to keep inside. I wish life was easy, but its really not and we have to keep on going no matter what problems we run into or other things that may bother us. I have learned that being tested is hard. But with the help of my family, friends, and others, I will keep this marriage, for he is my love, my friend, and my soul mate till death to us part.

The Blue Night Comes to an End

Cool
Fish in the night
Fish for what I love to eat
Fish for lush
Fish until I get shivering cold
Fish until we see the sunset turn to cool blue night
Fish until the night turns to dark
with starts lingering and sparkling at night
Fish on the ice with tracks of different types of animals that lurk at night
Fish for that is the time of the year
Fish Fish Fish
This was taken yesterday. I was fishing on the
Kuskokwim side of the river. I love the sunset
and had to take this picture before my camera
ran out of battery. Good thing I did because
after taking couple of pictures, my camera ran
out of battery. I love this because loving to fish
at night for lush and fishing with friends or
famly is alot of fun. This day, I was fishin alone
and I felt lonely on the ice with no one to talk
too. I had lots of nibbles but the lush fish kept
taking my bait away. But, enjoying the weather
and the night seens makes the whole fishing night
to remember with no fish or not. Just the fresh
cool air makes the night so wonderful. The cool
thing about it is seeing the lights around me,
the planes that travel a far a distance to its
destination, Alaska Air coming for the last trip
of the day to Bethel, the people that roam at
night wanting to go here to there, people that
love to fish the night, and see the last night of
the day is memorable for another day comes
and goes....This is my way of spending the evening
out fishing for Lush and just be out there. The
scary part of it all is, people that try to roam
secretly travel by snow machines or by walking
and surely happened that day. So, my day got cut
short. I went home early because of those roamers..lol
They should have stayed home but we can't do anything
about that because they are roamers of the night..
Till the next day.....Fish Fish Fish again.....

This was taken last year. Its that time of the year, where we can't travel on the river because we are isolated from traveling any where on the river. This is what we call, " A bumper."There are so many wishes we all have when its like this: wish we had an airport, wish we had a road to Bethel, wish the weather would stay cold for three full cold days, so that we can travel on the back trail on a snow machine. I can recall those moments when I worked in Bethel. I tell you, its the scariest moments ever...But having to be the only girl in my family, it was not that bad. I grew up with two boys and just me. I hope you all enjoy my picture.

Sunset of the midnight, at the tundra of Alaska.

This was taken at my grandmother's camping site at the tundra. We go there whenever we can to enjoy the out doors with families. This year for the first time, my son, Andrew took me egg hunting at my late grandmother's land.
My uncle, Ignati and wife, Marie, and her two grand kids, my late mother's brother, sisters and cousin went too. This really brought back good memories of my childhood memories. I have noticed though, that some of the lands are eroding and disappearing, but the camp site is still standing.
This picture was taken at sunset near that camp site. The reflection of the sunsetting on the lake, it reminded me of a cross pendant. I will not forget the days we have spent together like we use to in the past. I thank my son for taking us and bring us back safe.
